Google begging users to kick IE 6 to the curb.

IE just can’t get a break.  Besides losing market share to Firefox, the golden (debatable) oldie IE 6 is being given the cold shoulder by Google.  Instead of using IE 6, Google is telling users of their web apps to jump ship to either Firefox or Chrome.  Strangely, the “Google pack” that used to include Firefox as a download has since been replaced by Chrome.  Direct download links for Chrome have also been added to Google’s home page and YouTube.  You can quickly see that Google is really pushing their in house browser to compliment “Google World”, Google’s collection of web apps.  The decision to blacklist IE 6 will either cause many people to stop using Google because they feel pressured to use something they don’t want.  Or, more likely, IE will lose even more market share and be begging for the day when they had 70%.  Interesting side note:  2 out of every 3 Firefox adopters are previous users of IE that have since left Redmond’s pastures.
