It’s no secret in the current economy that all sectors of the market are hurting. Everything from the construction to consumer electronics industry are feeling the pain. It comes as no surprise that a company as large as Sony is having trouble dealing with the tough times. According to an article on the UK Times, Sony could be letting as many as 16,000 permanent and temporary staff go as well as cutting several major divisions! Which divisions would be on the chopping block? It’s too hard to say now but if the economy doesn’t pick up soon we all will soon find out. Sony, cherishing it’s bonds with the general public, vehemently denies all of the size reductions as false (as they always do with rumors concerning the company). They say all is well, the company is just rosy, and hippos could possibly fly.
