Apple: “Good-bye Macworld…Hello CES!” (Rumor)

According to Gizmodo and Cult of Mac, Apple is moving from one trade show to another, (Macworld –> CES).  This sounds odd because their main reason for leaving Macworld was that trade shows were “losing their purpose” more or less.  With Apple opening what seems like a new Apple Store every couple of days, reaching more people locally means a big trade show appearance isn’t needed.  On top of that, Apple has voiced interest in doing their own type of product release events without anyone else to steal the limelight.  Even though both sites claim that “credible sources” have confirmed this, I will wait until I get a little more solid evidence as this just doesn’t make any sense.
