The Palm App Store is apparently going to be dubbed “Palm Catalog” according to Palm’s Developer Network site.  The Pre’s webOS is based around HTML and java type code.  Palm has announced that they are going to be including various “libraries” into the SDK to allow very rich, graphical applications for the Pre.  If you are a Pre hopeful looking to get your game on, look elsewhere for now as the Pre “wasn’t designed with gaming in mind during the development cycle”.  Why you say?  Well look at Palm, they haven’t exactly been a “youth oriented” market.  Their market usually targets more middle aged businessmen, people who aren’t exactly the biggest gamers.  In other words, you won’t see a thousands of teens and twenty year olds standing in line to get the Pre.  Instead you will see guys in black suits and briefcases walking around staring down at their Pre.  Still, these serious people need some release.  I’m sure at least basic games will come to the Pre, however don’t expect Crash Bandicoot Racing to come to the Pre anytime soon.
