General Mobile announcing Androied powered DSTL1 at Mobile World Congress 2009

2007 was the year of the iPhone. Some would argue that 2008 was also it’s year. However, (for now), 2009 looks to be the year of Android. A whole host of cellphone manufacturers are developing and planning to release Android powered phones. General Mobile is bringing their DSTL1 to the Mobile World Congress 2009. What does this little beauty pack inside? Conintue on…
-
624MHz Marvell PXA 310 processor
-
Dual-SIM cards with dual-Standby mode
-
Tri-band support for GSM/EDGE support (900/1800/1900MHz)
-
135g (4.75oz), 112 x 54 x 16mm (4.4 x 2.1 x .6 inches)
-
5 megapixel camera with flash and autofocus *made by Sharp*
-
WiFi b/g/Bluetooth
-
3″ 240 x 400 WQVGA touchscreen display
*The Kogan Angora’s biggest problem *and probably main reason it was canceld* was that the display resolution was too low to support Android, some design flaw they apparently missed until after production had already been completed. When contacted about the issue by Android Authority, General Mobile assured them that if the display becomes a problem, the resolution will be bumped up.
Not exactly packin’ the heat but what it lacks in features, it makes up for in sheer beauty. Save me one!
