So the Pre just isn’t your cup of tea and you can’t wait until June anyway?  Well, the Palm Treo Pro could be your answer.  However, it is officially unofficially being delayed until February 15th…more than 3 weeks later than the orginal January 25th release date.  Yes it is a sad day for Palm aficionados.  Apparently Best Buy has already received their initial shipments but are locking them up tighter than Fort Knox until the 15th.  Sadly no rhyme or reason was given for the delay so you’ll just have to let your mind wonder and see what you come up with.

Zune cost Microsoft $100 million in Holiday revenue!

Amid a several thousand employee layoff, news is coming out that Microsoft’s Zune lost around $100 million (54%) in revenue this past holiday quarter.  In stark contrast, Apple’s iPod earned 3% increase in iPod sales totaling $4.382 billion!   It isn’t hard to understand why the Zune is quickly dying…Microsoft is stalling on the innovation and updating front.  While just about every other portable audio player manufacturer updated their players (hardware and software), Microsoft went the software only route.  I know Microsoft has been touting that they are a software company first recently, but if they are at all serious about the Zune, one would think that they would put more effort into it.

Android users have reason to celebrate tonight/today as Last.fm has been released for Android.  One might ask why is this any better than the aLast.fm app.  Well folks, it loads a little faster and has more features that mimic the desktop version.  One awesome feature that is an Android exclusive is background streaming (sit down iPhoners) which allows you to close the app and open whatever else your little heart desires, all without ever losing the stream.  Awesome job Last.fm team!

Everyone is equal…G1 coming to everyone tomorrow!

lots-of-g1s

Until now, you had to be in an area covered by T-Mobile’s 3G in order to walk in to a T-Mo store and walk out with a G1 in hand.  If you weren’t so fortunate, you had to resort to online ordering and camping out impatiently by the mailbox waiting for your precious.  Not any longer.  Starting tomorrow, (actually now, just after midnight), everyone will be able to get their paws on a G1 in store!  I know several people whom will jump for joy at the news.  So, when everyone wakes up, head down to your local T-Mo store and pick up a G1!

HDMI is quickly becoming the HD connector standard for HD afficienados.  However, those darn plugs fall out so easily.  Something as small as a slight breeze rolls through your room and the picture starts snowing up.  Think about it.  If you added up all of the seconds up you wasted getting up and adjusting the HDMI cable, over a lifetime you will have wasted several days of your life plugging in a cable!  If this constant fall out, get up, move A/V equipment, plug HDMI cable back in, reset A/V equipment routine gets to you, PPC has a solution for you.  Designed with the customer in mind, they have devloped an HDMI cable that “locks” into whatever device you plug it into.  Thereby preventing it from falling out.  The strength at which the PPC Locking HDMI Cable holds tight is “3 times greater than conventional connectors”.

Every single phone that comes out always has loyal lovers and haters.  The haters always find things that are wrong with it.  More often than not, the biggest gripes always center around number/text input whether its the shape of the keyboard or how its positioned.  LG is trying to do away with these issues with the VX9600.  What makes this LG phone different from the rest?  Try detachable accessories!  Don’t like the keyboard?  Fine.  Pop it off. A big thank you to Snap315 of Howard Forums for letting loose pictures of this unique phone.  As you can see, like most of LG’s other phones it is very sleek and eye pleasing.  Other attachments for the VX9600 include a gamepad, speakers, and an internet module with WiFI.  If you’re drooling now you better go and grab a cup because there isn’t a release date yet.  Don’t worry, I’m sure it can’t be that long.  (Got your cup yet?)
