If you are one of the lucky folks that have been able to order one of Apple’s new 17″ MacBook Pros you have most certainly been bummed about the shipping delay. However reports are coming in that the 17 inchers are starting to make their way to their new homes. Two readers (123free and UFOGoldorak) over at MacRumors have reported getting their 17″ MBP’s already…slightly ahead of Apple’s (delayed) claimed February 19th shipping date…early is never bad people. What’s nice is that UFOGoldorak has already put up some prelim benchmarks of the new hotness (a 17″ MBP with a 2.93GHz proc, 4GB RAM and Nvidia 9600 GT graphics card) against an older 15 ” MBP with a 2.4 GHz proc, 4GB RAM and Nvidia 8600 GT.
