In what is good news if not slightly comical, the Dev Team has announced that Apple’s just announced iPhone 3.0 OS has already sucomb to their almighty knowledge and has been jailbroken. Don’t get too excited though as the 3.0 OS isn’t even publicly available yet. Though the lucky developers get to get their hands on it early. Still, the Dev Team is saying that they are waiting until Apple releases 3.0 to release their Jailbreak. It’s probably a good thing if you ask me. You don’t want to release the jailbreak now and give Apple time to fix it in official 3.0 launch. Keep them on the defensive. Though, with all of the features that were revealed, and still many unanswered questions and unrevealed updates, how much longer will Jailbreaking be worth it? Sure you can tether for free and use Bluetooth to its full potential *only real reasons I can see for jailbreaking now* as well as customize your device with scores of themes. While extremely cool, the themes are but a novelty. So how much longer do you think jailbreaking will be relevant? A couple more months? Year? Decades? Spill the beans!
