We as tech lovers may get all excited and drool happy over the latest Wii controller or laptop and get sucked into our own little worlds, but laptops, MP3 players, and cellphones aren’t the only gadgets that are manufactured. I would raise the thought that disabled people should or can benefit from technology even more than those that are not disabled. While we are tapping away on our third cellphone, a disabled person may be searching for information on the latest electroic wheelchair, glucose meter, or crazy iPhone app that measures blood sugar, things that can be truly life threatening. But these things never get reported in the mainstream news. It kind of makes technology geared towareds and helping the disabled an “underground” in a sense. No one on the outside really knows about it…or really where to find information about it. This causes an estimated 54 million americans with either a physical or mental disability to get stuck in the technological dark. That is where Abledbody comes in.

The Twitter maddness that is sweeping the nation in every imaginable fieldhas claimed another victim: YouTube. It seems that Twitter is sweeping across the nation picking up individuals and corporations left and right, eventually claiming the entire world and filling it full of tweeting fools, ruining relationships and other apocalypitc events because of the national tweeting obcession…. Next time you visit YouTube look at the sharing options below the video, you will now notice a handy little Twitter button (above) underneath every video window right along with all of the other “share” buttons such as MySpace and Facebook.

Upon clicking on the Twitter button you are redirected to the Twitter homepage to log in to your account. The tweet for the video is auto generated and states “check out this video” followed by a title and URL for the person you’re sharing with to follow (above). (Don’t worry, even though the YouTube URL isn’t shortened, it is short none the less so it should fit in your little Tweet). Next feature up on the drawing board, (should be anyway) is the ability to imbed videos directly into Twitter streams just like Facebook and MySpace. But hey, it’s progress people…good progress at that. So I can’t complain. Among other improvements regarding YouTube, the mobile site has been tweaked a tad as to make uploading that video of your friend car surfing all the more easier. Ahhh, the simple things in life…

T-Mobile/Android users should feel a little better about themselves this morning as a picture of an HTC Magic (Sapphire) with a nice little T-Mobile logo centered right above the screen. If you recall Google’s little Gmail demo last month, they showcased an HTC Magic that happned to have a T-Mobile logo just like the one above, 7.2Mbps HSDPA, and a particularly obscure band in the 1700MHz spectrum meaning we can expect it for T-Mobile USA *fingers crossed*. It isn’t long folks before we get the next latest and greatest piece of Android goodness in our hands!

When you consider going in debt, you know a car, a house, or private island are all worthwhile things to actually go in debt for as they can help you later on down the line. Rarely if ever is it a good choice to go deeply in to debt for an electronic…such as a computer. (I know, I’m preaching to the wrong crowd here). For example, if you make $1k/month and are living on your own with all sorts of bills, buying a $15k Mac Pro is probably not at the top of your smarts list. Well, that is exactly what Facebook is trying to do…more or less. The ever increasing growth that they have continued to experience is making them recalculate if their servers can handle the load. That uncertainty is sending them to the bank looking for money.

Book worms and tree huggers rejoice as another eBook option has surfaced. This newest development is making home on RIM’s popular Blackberry line of devices. Brought to you by Fictionwise, Barnes & Noble’s online eBook reader service, the eBook app will allow you to browse B&B’s free catalog of books online as well as all of their 60,000+ titles available for sale online. See a book you like? Now you can buy it straight from your phone. Supported models include: Curve, Storm, Pearl, Bold, and several other BlackBerry models. All of this eBook goodness is still pretty fresh in our minds. If you don’t recall the legal trouble that Apple is now in due to their amazon backed Kindle app for the iPhone. It makes you wonder if MONEC Holding Ltd, the company currently suing Apple for the Kindle eBook app, will go after Barnes & Nobile, RIM, and Fictionwise. Apparently, two human beings somehow managed to both think of an electronic box that transmits words in 1′s and 0′s….Someone is just jealous because their app sucked and someone else is making a fortune…typical gold diggers. Anyway, interested Blackberry users can point their BB browser to the OTA download link to download the app and get their nature friendly, worming skills on!
