If you are a home theater junkie you have already given up on the “normal” TV market including LCD’s and Plasma displays as they puny.  What you have instead opted for is projectors.  While high quality will cost you dearly, the pay off is pure bliss for the two little cavities inside your head.  But for some, price is no object.  And if that is the case, Sanyo would like to show you something: “The Worlds Brightest Projector”.  How bright?

One thing for sure is that this isn’t your dads projector.  Sanyo is looking to burn through those ocular cavities of yours as they have announced the world’s brightest projector pumping out an astonishing and eye scorching 7,000 lumens! (Dr. Evil is preparing to upgrade his sharks as we speak…)  Said projector will display full HD 1080p images at sizes up to 150″.  It is important to note that this is a “short throw” projector meaning that the 150″ picture only needs 94cm between it and the screen.  Don’t have 94 cm?  You can shorten the gap to 63cm and still enjoy a very prominent 100″ picture.  See, flat screens are puny.

Other details such as price and availability are sadly MIA.  I know I would definitely love one of these in my home theater.  (Come to think of it, I would like to actually have a home theater).  Drool away…
