For all of the mobile Hi-Def photographers/video nuts, Sony’s latest attemp at miniturization is paying off as the specs for the “World’s Smallest” camera module are pretty amazing. The new MCB1172 HD camera module developed and created by Sony is smaller than a quarter yet has enough muscle packed inside to capture 8.3 megapixel stills, shoot 720p video at 30fps featuring image stabilization, face detection, and even high-ISO support. The coolest part is that if you just so happen to feel like you want to recreate your own matrix scenes, Sony’s latest wonder chip has got you covered as it will start flipping through frames at an brisk 120fps ensuring you get all of the slow molassesy motion your crave. With as fast as technology and the gadget world reinvents itself, it shouldn’t be too long before we see this little beast showing up in our phones.
