Sprint Stores going to bed early, rising with the chickens in preperation for the Pre

In Apple/iPhone style, Sprint will making their own schedule changes to their stores in preperation and anticipation for the Palm Pre. Obviously hoping to a substantial number of units before Apple’s big WWDC show happening that following week, Palm and Sprint both want to steal as much thunder and user base as possible from Apple in order to avoid the disaster that is the sinking ship their businesses currently look like. As noted by the handy leaked quick shot above, Sprint stores will be closing early, 4pm on June 5th and reopening early June 6th, 8am in order to move the most Pre’s possible. While I’m half and half on the Pre, I won’t hold out final judgement until I get to play around with one myself. However, if the Pre doesn’t live up to the hype or has the new release issues that the Blackberry Storm was unfortunately ridden with, we could be soon singing a sad song in honor of the once great Palm…or Sprint.
