**Update: All licenses gone

If you are the type of peson who finds the Blackberry shortcuts merely adequate or even insufficient for your needs, you my friend have an addiction.  An addiction that modern science and medicine cannot cure.  So what is a person to do?  You could always set time limits for your Berry usage.  You could give it up all together (thought that is a bit extreme).  Lastly and more importantly, you can make use of a great little tool…”ShortcutMe”, an amazing, easy to use shortcut application that allows you to set practically limitless (as there aren’t /that/ many BB apps) shortcuts. So what exactly can you do with shortcut me?  How can this shorcut app make your life with your Berry even more productive and easier?

Sprint to stereotype and profile when selling Pre’s on launch day

The latest rage in the news and political world right now is to be fair to everyone, avoid stepping on anyone’s toes, and more or less give in to anything and everything.  Palm and Sprint appear to be foregoing the latest “rage” and instead focusing on good ‘ol stereotyping and profiling when making their selections for Pre launch day sales.  Another leaked document detailing yet another Pre launch day event lays the down the law on who and how Sprint employees are to sell Pres.  The saddest part is that the real people who would benefit from getting Palm’s own jesus phone into their hands, “IT Centric business users” are in fact a group that said employees are supposed to instead convince into buying an aging and ugly as sin Palm Centro.  Greeeeeat idea.  Instead of buying a hopefully and quite possibly revolutionary device, hardware and software considered, customers will be “suggested” to purchase ancient hardware and software that at best is good for an old doorstop.  If you’re planning to go on launch day and purchase your very own Pre and instead get lassoed into a less than preferred business deal featuring something as outdated and terrible as a Centro, what if anything will you do or say?  While giving suggestions and asking questions as to how you’ll use your potential new mobile device is a very important and worthy thing, trying to upsell downsell/bait-n-switch customers for a lesser model is sure to create some less than happy customers a few weeks out.  Agree/disagree?  Let loose a stream of words.

Uh-oh, Porn mode in Safari 4 beta not so private

  • May 25, 2009 11:52 am

safari_4_beta

Safari 4 beta brought with it many enhancements.  Increased speed, the visually impressive thumbnail start page as well as a porn mode “privacy” mode that when activated would neglect to remember where you went, what you read, and/or what pictures you looked at – something other browsers such as Firefox have been able to do for sometime now.  However, if you have been giving Safari 4 beta’s privacy mode a good beating, chances are your less than Sunday’s best habits are still lurking on your hard drive, waiting to for you mother, best friend, or pastor to find.  One would think that a privacy mode would work flawlessly, a service that you could trust.  Apparently Safari 4 beta and it’s privacy mode were designed a little differently and actually stores everything even when privacy mode is activated.  How bad is it?
