We’ve seen some pretty unique uses for lego in the tech world such as the Lego flash drive, the Lego USB hub, and even a Lego MP3 player, this latest use of Lego’s, while not quite “gadgety”, is none the less cool and unique. Instead of having electronic circuits inside the legos, they themselves become literal building blocks, supporting aging wonders of architecture.

Boredom is nuisance to each and every human that has stood the test of time. Wherever we go, whatever we do, it is always there, waiting, ready to pounce on our being and envelope us wishing we were anywhere else/doing anything else than whatever it was at that particular time. If you’re like many, you would simply groan, complain, or outright just start hating life. However, if you’re like this fine gentlemen, Steve Chamberlin, you would take all of that pent up boredom and energy just waiting to be released and channel it into a hobby – in Steve’s case, building a processor…from wires.

While new info about the Storm 2 was revealed last week, most importantly, the observation that the Surepress “click” touchscreen was missing, would lead one to assume that said technology won’t be present on RIM’s next rendition of the love-it-or-hate-it Blackberry. However, after RIM CEO Mike Lazaridis sat down and layed the record straight at D7 yesterday, the Storm 2′s typing abilities are now even more in question. Mr. Lazaridis was quoted as saying: “Surepress is here to stay”, which also would leave many to assume that “click” touchscreens will be on the next Storm. But what about that new screen on the Storm 2 that was floating around Crackberry? It could be possible that RIM has figured out a new way to mimic clicking on screen without having to actually have the screen move (a great idea). Whatever the case, there are still plenty of questions regarding the screen left unanswered. Confused?

In today’s world it’s all about speed. The faster it is, the better it is. While technical issues that deal with mandating specs, cross company support, and other “business partnerships” often bring forth delays, the outcome is often worth it. Case in point: SATA Revision 3.0 standards and devices. While the 3.0 Revision was announced waaaaay back when in August of ’08, the Serial ATA International Organization (SATA-IO) has finally come to terms with whoever/whatever was holding up progress and has announced that the 6Gbps new age speed goodness will finally get its day to shine – next month at Computex. Here, the new spec coupled with hardware and software obedience will showcase the next wave of speed to be ushered in upon our computational machines that we’ve all come to love so dearly. Are you ready?
