ISP’s not so eager to adopt RIAA “3 strikes” policy

pirates

A mere 6 months (give or take) have gone by since the RIAA started pushing their latest “3 strikes” campaign in which they were aiming to enlist the help of individual ISP’s in order to “fight piracy” and “help protect content holders/copyright holders/yada yada.  The basis of this program was that after 3 accusations, not actual convictions, the ISP would cut off your internet service for good.  From the get go, the ISP’s weren’t exactly what I’d call excited to jump on board this program.  However, the RIAA, not content without getting their way, reached out to NY Attorney General Andrew Cuomo to “lay the law” and pressure ISP’s into adopting their failure from the start 3 strikes program.  Apparently, unbeknownest to the RIAA, there is no legal action that they or their new lawyer friend can take in order to “force” ISP’s to adopt the 3 strikes program.  Obviously, this 3 strikes plan is worthless to fight piracy and will only push people to find new and innovative ways to circumnavigate oppressive and downright communistic principals, ideologies, and policies that are falsely pushed off on the general public as “anti-piracy” tactics.  Are you fooled?
