Google announces Chrome OS arriving in 2010!

Google has grown into quite the “all arounder” in the tech world the last few years. While they were once a simple, humble search company, they have grown into a giant that now can take care of pretty much anything and everything you want or need to do. From email to pictures to office file editing, Google has something for you. Today Google is taking a momentousness step into the unknown (for them) by announcing the Chrome OS for netbooks! Holy hell. Did I just say Google is making their own netbook OS? The OS is x86 based and will run on both Intel and ARM powered machines. Even more interesting is that it won’t just be for notebooks but will include everything up to full size desktop comptuers! Why would you run such a lightweight (claimed) OS on a big computer with huge computing resources? Speed folks. It’s all about the speed. Many may be wondering how this will affect Android and the recent developments in the netbook market that 3rd parties have made. Have no fear. Google has no chances of artificially limiting their products simply to create product classes and markets. Instead they insist the choice of a consumer choosing between Google Chrome and Android will not only help them but the company as well. +1 for the consumer.
