Handmade Driftwood USB Flash Drive

Earth lovers, tree huggers, and all out green supporters have a new gadget to lust over. While not the first wooden flash drives to come to market, Matthew Ronans driftwood flash drives are nothing short of awesome. The driftwood used in his creations was that of samples taken from the beach on his many trips. Featuring handcrafted flash drive internals with a woody exterior and combined with a geeky USB branding means these drives are truly one of a kind. I’m actually pretty intrigued! If I had to find a fault with these wooden wonders, it would be the rather limited 1GB size and lofty $70 asking price. Although, considering the rarity of such “natural” gadgets that are handmade from dear mother earth, one can more easily rationalize and accept the higher price. Hopefully Matt can up the storage size and unleash a real winner. Interested individuals better move fast of they want a piece of earthy geeky love. If that be ye, head on over to Matthew’s Etsy page linked below.

It’s really nice. But, why this flash disk designed only to 1Gb it? Did not think to make it to a larger capacity?

I actually used flash drives that I had laying around the house, that’s why it’s only 1GB. If anyone knows where I can get a good deal on higher GB flash drives let me know. :)
