Google Chrome has become one of the more popular niche browsers in recent times among techies and normals alike. With its simple and unbloated interface coupled sheer speed that is at the top of the heap and you begin to see the draw that pulls people in. Google is constantly tweaking their products, adding in new features small and large in order to make our lives easier and more efficient. Perhaps one of the greatest requests for Chrome is that of themes or skins. While I personally like the stock Chrome theme, there are many who do not, some so much so that they won’t even use Chrome until they can alter it’s less than attractive face. I’m happy to say that Google is this close to publicly releasing for the masses 29 official themes that you, the picky little end user can use till your hearts content. If you just so happen to use the nightly developer builds, the theme gallery is already live for you. Expect the rest of you to get the goods as soon as Google works the kinks out.

While most of the themes are pretty well thought out in regards to color, I have to agree with Tech Crunches statement that the legal pad theme looks god awful (pictured below). Here’s to hoping they either fix it up or replace it with something a little less eye raping.

Now that you know some visual customization is coming to a browser that already has a lot going for it, are you more motivated to use it/keep using it?
