Remember that Facebook app update for iPhone that I talked about what seems like months ago now (a month and a half actually)? The Facebook team has been hard at work and finally had something to say via Twitter. The new app is “pretty much done” and all they are working on now is translating the app into the various languages needed. Joe Hewitt, a Facebook developer and the one responsible for the tweet said that the translating process could take a bit of time coupled with Apple’s joke for an approval process and we could easily be waiting several more weeks. Even Mr. Hewitt won’t give an estimate as to a release date. I guess it’s best not to get our hopes up only to disappoint us down the road. Still it makes me anxious. Here’s to hoping that all goes well, the languages get translated, and Apple uses a shred of common sense and pushes the update right on through. Agreed?
