When Apple made the decision to move to all glossy displays, many peoples’ opinions ranged from upset to downright enraged. Some vowed never to buy another Apple product again. Others proclaimed they would hold out or even go as far as to get a third party to install a matte screen. Apple didn’t completely give up on glossy displays however as the high end 17″ MacBook Pro has had a $50 matte display option since the unibody’s were launched late last year. However a quick stop by Apple’s website will show that they may be backing down on their previous stance on glossy only displays as a new $50 matte display option has now appeared on the 15″ model option sheet. Is it enough to get you to finally pull the trigger you’ve had an itchy finger on for so long? Or are you still wanting more you finicky buyer you?
