Download Offline Google Chrome installer [How-to]

Google Chrome is my new favorite browser. I like the style of it, the speed, and the way it renders web pages. For me, it’s all good. However, the one thing that bugs me about Chrome is that Google only offers an online downloader meaning if you’re in an area void of any internet connection, you’re out of luck. However, there is a super simple way to get the entire download in one file so you can install it on internet-less machines ’till your hearts content. Want to know how? Come on in…

As previously mentioned, it’s drop dead simple:

  1. Simply navigate to http://filehippo.com/download_google_chrome/ and look along the right side of the page for the version of Google Chrome you’d like to download. Pay special attention to the last 4 or 5 numbers. (Ex: if you want Google Chrome version 4.0.202.0…..remember the “202.2″. Likewise, if you want 2.0.172.37….remember the “172.37″.
  2. Now, copy this link exactly as it is: “http://dl.google.com/chrome/install/xxx.xx/chrome_installer.exe” and replace the “x’ed” out spaces with your numbers. In my case, I wanted 4.0.202.0 so I replaced those x’s with 202.0. Remember, leave the rest of the link alone. After you input the numbers for your respective version, put that link in any browser, hit enter, and get ready to enjoy an offline Google Chrome installer all to yourself.

Yippee!! Enjoy.
