Griffin “MyPhones” help little Jimmy’s ears survive into adulthood

Raising a kid can be hard work. You as the more responsible adult are in charge of everything that happens to the child under your watch. While there are the obvious dangers such as kidnappers, pedophiles, murderers, and dangerous street crossings, other less immediate dangers include those of hearing loss. Why did I single out hearing loss? Griffin made me do it really with their MyPhones — headphones aimed at the kiddies who like to rock out…as long as that rocking out stays below 85 decibels. You see, the parent and pediatrician approved part of these headphones is that the 85 decibel limit is hardwired if you will into the headphones themselves meaning little Johnny or Susie can’t destroy their ears while listening to “The Wiggles Greatest Hits”, (it’s terrible I know what that is.) Further pushing the whole child safety image is backed up with the units over the ear design meaning the little fingered kids won’t jam ear buds into their ears potentially angering their ear drums.
These headphones aren’t completely build for parents and doctors however as three colored ear caps are included (pink, orange, and blue) as to allow the children to express themselves as long as their mood falls within that of the three colors just mentioned. Rounding out the list of features includes additional downloadable ear caps via www.myphoneskids.com as well as packaging that can pull double duty as a case for your headphones and media player. Unfortunately you and your offspring will have to wait until October to hand over the $39.99 required. Will Christmas come a tad early this year?
