Facebook Voice Chat goes live…in beta form via Vivox
If you spend countless hours on Facebook writing, commenting, and chatting away and have always wanted to let your voice be heard, Vivox has a solution for you. Today, Vivox released their beta Vivox Voice Facebook application which will effectively turn your Facebook chats into a sort of Skype-esque type of system. You’ll notice this Facebook app isn’t an in-house venture, yet. Instead, Vivox whom is known for their voice chat services is providing the audible mojo to get this ball rolling. Because this app isn’t from FB itself, integration isn’t as tight as it could be. Though, such things are generally expected with 3rd party apps.
It isn’t hard to set up however as a simple install of the app itself and a simple browser plugin are all that are needed to make your once quiet FB chats a tad more audible. After the install is said and done, bit.ly links are the method of choice for inviting friends whom also have said app and plugin installed. Go ahead. Go home. Install Vivox’s FB Chat application and then come back here and let us know your likes/dislikes. Chat away.
