Video Property of PopSci and Borna Sammak

Trying to get any new idea to be implemented by a large corporation, especially your stereotypically cold and reserved corporation is anything but easy. Some may compare it to trying to fit a beach ball through a coffee straw. You can easily see the point. It normally isn’t easy. However, a Best Buy location in Manhattan located on Houston St. did the exact opposite of what most would deem “normal” for a large chain of retailers — they helped out a little guy just trying to show off his works of art.

The little guy goes by the name of Borna Sammak whom is a self proclaimed “video artist”. Whatever rules the Best Buy employees follow in Manhattan must be passed around as the store let Mr. Samma take over every HDTV in the entire store to display his art. The real kicker? A call to Best Buy HQ didn’t meet any resistance whatsoever, and they didn’t even pre-screen his movies meaning he could have BS’d any story just to get a few minutes of fame by displaying something a little less pleasing to the public. Strange yet rare display of character on Best Buy’s part indeed.

Quite the noble move Best Buy. Now lets see if you can share this new found love with some of your other stores hmm.
