VuiVision looks to bring free network TV streaming to all

Streaming live anything seems to be the big deal in the mobile internet movement as of late. Streaming radio, streaming video, online gaming, etc. If it can be streamed, it’s hot. Streaming radio is rather robust with many solutions from the likes of Pandora, Last.fm, Slacker Radio, I Heart Radio, and Spotify just to name several. Streaming video on the other hand is a bit more involved as prices and restrictions are usually involved. However a new website, VuiVision aims to bring free video streaming to mobile devices. Now, the coolest part is that the content available for streaming isn’t simple rerun shows and movies that were old twenty years ago. Instead, current programming from popular TV stations such as New York City CBS, NBC, FOX, ABC and PBS stations. For now, the service is not iPhone compatible. An app in the works perhaps? Still, highly unscientific tests by PhoneArena on the Storm 9530, the LG enV Touch and LG Dare resulted in surprisingly clear picture and audio.

It’s worth noting that the service is currently in the alpha stage meaning bugs, performance hiccups, and other snafus should be expected. However, after the kinks get ironed out, VuiVision could be quite the mobile video solution. Head on over to VuiVision.com and give it a shot. Report back on your experience. Seeing as I have an iPhone for the time being, I can’t really test it. *sigh* Enlighten me dear reader…
