Comcast’s “HighSpeed2Go” service we mentioned earlier certainly grabbed my attention with the amount of data your could get for an unheard of price. I spent around 20 minutes on the phone tonight with a Comcast rep, (higher up Comcast rep mind you) and didn’t really come out with anymore than we already know. What kept confusing me was the fact that the rep could only see a $50 and $100 option on his screen. Granted, the service isn’t actually available until next month (in my area anyway) so the prices he was seeing could very well be fillers of some sort. Also, between the $50 and $100 prices on screen, the rep kept tossing around a $72.95 price for 12Mb service and 3G/4G service which was a non-promotional price. Adding to the chaos even further, the rep never specifically mentioned the home and wireless services together in the “bundled” pricing leading me to assume they were separate. But…that’s the whole point of this entire upcoming “promotion” and as you can see from the website, it’s clearly depicted and worded as a bundled service.
Obviously the reps don’t know much of what’s going on with it yet. Any Comcast reps care to chip in? As far as your name goes…I already forgot it.
We’ll keep watching it…
