iPhone jailbreakers who enjoy some retro gaming on the go by way of NES, SNES, PSOne, etc. emulators have something else to look forward to. From the same developer who created the GBA4iPhone emulator, Zodttd, a new creation is coming on the near horizon. This one has me particularly interested for one reason: GoldenEye. If that didn’t trip your mental memory unit, I’ll just lay it out there — N64 emulation is coming so an iPhone 3GS near you…soon! Because of the inherent hardware requirements, only the iPhone 3GS will be able to make use of an N64 emulator and actually work smoothly. Even then, Zodttd states that the later, more graphically complex N64 games still need some work before working on the iPhone platform. Of course, that can also be looked at as the iPhone platform needs some more work before running said games. Either way, the thought of getting my secret agent GoldenEye fix on the go has me in all types of hysteria. So how exactly will the on screen controller mimic such a goofy-ass original controller? I have no idea but I’m sure eager to find out. We’ll just have to wait and see…
