Microsoft calls out its own for claiming Mac inspired Win7 design…

I can’t say I didn’t expect his one but Microsoft’s Windows Blog made a post titled “How we really designed the look and feel of Windows” rebuking their Partner Group Manager Simon Aldous’ statement that Windows 7 was designed with Mac’s UI and aesthetic feel in mind. It wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing. Obviously Microsoft had a problem with this. The statement is short and to the point:

I hate to say this about one of our own, but his comments were inaccurate and uninformed.

The ‘Balms surely couldn’t stand being compared to Apple and OS X and I’m sure several other exec’s weren’t to pleased either. Oh well, we live and we learn. Do you think his comments were really that far off?
