IKEA trading spaces, moving in to iPhone.

What are some of your other loves? I mean, you’re here so you obviously have a thing for gadgets/technology. But that isn’t all of your life. What else makes you tick? For some, interior design and furniture are their second love. If you’re unfamiliar with the scene, IKEA is a fairly popular home furniture store with all kinds of classy and trendy pieces of furniture for every room in your house available for purchase. So far, they have mostly relied on their website and traditional product magazine that gets mailed out (and to my house) every couple of months.

The year 2009 and beyond however is increasingly being navigated via mobile devices. Thinking ahead, IKEA is releasing an iPhone app tomorrow (December 3rd) allowing users to browse the entire 2010 UK product catalog page-by-page so that tricking out your pad and mobility can now go hand in hand. IKEA is asking that those interested download the app and voice their opinions — good and bad — so that the company can improve their mobile offering.
