Revealing of HTC Hero successor to drop at Mobile World Congress this February.

I’ve you’ve been in the Android game you know that even with the Droid’s new higher spec’d, chiseled body, the HTC Hero still holds a firm grasp on many a geek’s hearts. When it was released earlier this year, it was by far the nicest and best performing Android device. But as is customary in the mobile phone world, being on top doesn’t last but a moment. That’s why we have a bajillion different electronics trade shows to lust after day after day, looking for the next updated hardware or software.

This February at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, HTC will unveil the Hero’s successor. The statement comes via HTC weden exec Patrik Andersson:

A sequel to The flagship Hero unveiled at mobile trade show in Barcelona on 15 February and will appear in Swedish stores shortly thereafter.

Of course we’d like that availability to travel across the ocean and come stateside. In due time folks. In due time.
