Want to really get underneath someone’s skin in a way mere words simply can’t obtain? Talk about someone’s weight. Most people hate that. Am I advocating it? No. It’s just not nice to make fun of them or criticize them. But advocating something as clever and funny as a door mat that doubles as a scale is funny. Next time your friends/family come over, walk do the door and pause for a moment, listening to see if they notice the Doormat Scale and if they then realize how much pressure they actually exert on the earth with those two feet of theirs. If there was ever a way to make fun or highlight someone’s weight without getting too personal or mean, this would be the way.

Then again, we could always turn the tables and say put this mat at the back door. For every time you come home from a nice meal out on the town, stepping on Mr. Truth will surely drop kick your feelings of self righteousness and force you to remember all of the junk you crammed in your gut. The scale never forgets…
