Those with Nexus One’s, Motorola DROID’s, Nokia N900′s and so on like to walk around with their heads held high because they have some of the best displays in the mobile arena. There’s nothing wrong with a little pride, is there? As technology progresses, the 800-ish x 400-ish resolution has now more or less become a loose standard to reach towards. For Vodafone users however, they will soon have something even better to brag about — 1280 x 1024 supporting phones!
It’s been quite a few years since the world could get excited about 1280 x 1024 resolution. Ok, well over a decade to be precise. But in the mobile world, this resolution is insane for the small screens that contain all of those little pixels. For mobile junkies on the go, the next phone to look towards is the Qisda QCM-330, made by a Taiwan-based company in case any of you were wondering.
For the Qisda QCM-330, all 1280 x 1024 of those pixels will get squished down into a piece of glass, carbon, silicon, and plastic to a screen only 4″ in size. Mind you, for a phone, 4″ is rather generous and in all reality, going too much larger than 4″ will negate the “pocket-able” factor of a smartphone.
Anyone calling themselves a Vodafone customer should be mighty happy right now. Look for a release later this year if all goes according to plan.
