Bathe your iPod in soft cotton, plastic, and LED lighting.

The iPod by far has the largest selection of accessories of any major gadget. Anything from simple silicon cases to little “iPad Beanbag chairs” show that the whole accessory market has gotten out of control. Out of control in the sense that more and more accessories are being pumped out, with few of the multitude of accessories actually being any good. Besides, if you’re going to go cheap, why not just build you own case?

The fine folks at Instructables have a nifty little how-to on making a see through, plastic encased, and cotton swaddled iPod/iPhone case. I like seeing a custom gadget more than anything, so I’ll give bonus points to the people who actually come back with some feedback.
