People love their tweets: All 1.2 billion per month and climbing.

Fancy the short 140 or less way of communication? You’re not alone. Contrary to popular belief, Twitter hasn’t really stalled. In fact, it’s stronger than ever. According to Pingdom.com, Twitter users typed out over one billion tweets. In January, that figure climbed to 1.2 billion. 1.2 billion tweets per month equates to roughly 40 million per day! For February, that number can only go up as more and more people (and kegerators, and christmas trees, and *insert Twitter-enabled object here) take to the 140 way of life.

By Pingdom.com’s metrics and the metrics of many other sites, while traffic appears to have slowed, the rate at which Tweets are pumped out clearly hasn’t. Have you embraced the 140 way of life yet?
