iPad delay — Thank you Wintek

Plunkered down a couple benjamin’s and are now fuming because your precious iPad is tracking backwards, further and further from the original release? Normally the resulting anger would be directed at the company itself. In the case of the iPad however, it seems it isn’t Apple, but touchscreen supplier Wintek who is causing the slowdown. The account comes compliments of Chinese-language paper “Liberty Times”, citing a touchpanel bottleneck as the sole reason. Wintek meanwhile has denied any manufacturing problems and denied any questions seeking answers on particular customers of Wintek.

Short of knowing who is the one behind the Jesus Pad’s delayed debut, does it really matter? I guess for some it’s a sort of closure. Does knowing who’s causing your iPad to sit in some factory shelf instead of your hands make you feel a little bit better?
