RIAA/MPAA want to install spyware on your computer, border search your gadgets, and automate IP content removal.

  • April 15, 2010 12:46 pm

You know, the audacity of the RIAA/MPAA astounds me. Not only do they lie about their general purpose in life, but they constantly push their personal profit seeking ways harder and further with each passing year. If you think the whole censorship/web monitoring thing in China is bad, the RIAA/MPAA’s new plans submitted to the Office of Intellectual Property Enforcement are enough to scare anyone. Have a look for yourself, here’s what those bastards want:

Verizon: “We’re available in 220+ countries”. World: Uhhh, there’s only 196…if you’re lucky.

It never ceases to amaze me how a company will stoop to lying and deceptive measures to make themselves look bigger and better than the competition. While Verizon is currently on the higher end of my list of consumer friendly carriers, they’re certainly not a stranger to the opposite end of things as many of you know. But this post isn’t being crafted to rag on a new anti-consumer policy. Instead, it’s actually pretty comedic. Who doesn’t like a good laugh, right?

So here it goes…

The Console Controller Charging Pyramid. Why not?

  • April 15, 2010 6:15 am

Finally jumped head on into the new age of gaming compliments of the PS3 and Xbox 360? Depending on how many other bodies you cater to, quite the collection of controllers could be loitering around your living room. Stowing said controllers usually entails tossing them in a drawer and forgetting about them until you need them. But there’s a better (and cooler) way.

The night light for nerds afraid of the dark: The Lego Light

  • April 14, 2010 3:00 pm

Some of us are afraid of heights. Others are afraid of spiders *raises hand*. And then there are folks afraid of the dark. I wonder how scary the darkness would be with the aide of a LEGO Light molded to look exactly like the classic 2 x 2 cube many of us have grown up piecing together countless times? Ya, now it’ll be fun to turn out the lights…

How much is 1TB of solid state storage worth to ya? [OCZ]

  • April 14, 2010 2:38 pm

If there’s one complaint that is still heard routinely criticizing solid state storage, it’s that it’s too small. Speed to some is more important. But for this post, it’s all about how much a drive can hold. Most *affordable* SSD’s are maxing out around 128GB. Anything over that is either horrendously expensive or so damn slow a tortoise would give you the finger if we are to personify two non-human objects.

Thank god for the human race, OCZ has a solution.

iPhone 3G jailbroken, stuffed with OS 4.0, and hacked to multitask. Justice is served.

  • April 14, 2010 12:28 pm

We all know Apple (as well as countless other manufacturers) purposely limit current gen products from adopting too many features of newer gen products. In Apple’s case, the iPhone is one of the most fitting examples of this. While it’s nice that you have a solid two years of updates with your iPhone, at some point it’s going to start dropping off the radar. With iPhone OS 4.0, the original EDGE iPhone is kicked to the curb and the iPhone 3G starting to get the cold shoulder. At least for iPhone 3G users, you can liberate yourselves via the tried and true Jailbreak.

Well, most of you have heard, either by the xbox dashboard fluke on Friday, or the Jimmy Fallon episode on Monday night that Gears of War 3 has been giving breath. We have been hearing rumors of the game for a long time now, but it has been verified. We have been giving a release date of April 5th 2011, so that is 3 hundred and 50 however many days until we get to start pwnin the Locust Horde for the final time in this Gears Conclusion.

But if you give this debut trailer a view below, you’ll see an unfamilar face…A woman’s face. Yup, that’s right. The ladies are putting on that heavy arse COG armor to join the final battle. Be ready to spend some quality time with the wive’s fellas, as they now have an excuse to play that good ol 3rd person shooter.
