For all the things someone could do with a jailbroken/unlocked iPhone, slapping another OS on there is one of the more extreme measures. Porting Android — the essential polar opposite — is I’d imagine no small feat.
A talented man by the name of David Wong has managed to push Android onto his iPhone 2G, turning it into a dual-booting beast of a smartphone. What’s even better than the simple claim of “Android on the iPhone” is that everything that is considered vital for a smartphone (voice calls, data, sms, etc) works!

Alright Mac gamers (is there really such a thing?), the moment you’ve all been waiting for — Steam for OS X/Mac! As you can see, it doesn’t look all too different from it’s Windows counterpart. In fact, it’s the exact same UI. If you were hoping for something completely revamped and “Mac-ified”, your dreams will probably be irrevocably shattered. But we move on I guess…

At first, it seemed like Dell’s ambitions with Android were lackluster at best. So far, what they’ve shown us was drawing nothing but yawns on my end. However, the tides changed quite drastically today with the unveiling leak of the Android-powered “Thunder”. A cousin of the Windows Phone 7 “Lightning”, the Thunder aims to usher in the next generation of Android on all new, classy looking hardware. And yes, the body the Thunder is rocking is helluva sexy.
But as much as we like them, looks aren’t everything. And that’s perfectly fine as far as the Thunder’s concerned…
It’s no secret that not one single soul who actually enjoys playing video games appreciates Ubisoft’s new always-on DRM. We’ve already talked plenty of times how much it sucks, how unreliable it is, and what a slap in the face it is to all of Ubisoft’s legitimate user base. Moving on, it was only a matter of time until someone cracked this always-on DRM. Thankfully that day has come. SkidRow has more or less come forward stating that they have done what Ubisoft claimed was impossible and unshackled their shackled goods…

For one, I love gadgets. Sometimes even more lust worthy however is a good prank or joke. The “lamp/lamp” created by Hironao Tsuboi is both a joke, and a sweet looking gadget.

By now you’ve all seen the pictures and specs of the supposed BlackBerry 9670/Clamshell that is coming (hopefully) at some point in the near future. The form factor while a little on the chubby side, I find more useful than the Pearl Flip 8220 seeing as how RIM managed to stuff a full QWERTY on the device.
Otherwise, the now average and dare I say insufficient 360 x 480 display, usual assortment of wireless CDMA/WiFi radios, and other now standard internals make for a unique yet somehow so-so device in my eyes. Of course, those looking for a flip phone with a full QWERTY in a vertical orientation are no doubt stoked.
Are you one of them? BlackBerry 9670 Clamshell: Yes or no?
With all good things that technology brings us, there is a much less talked about “dark side”. Normally it deals with the freedoms or liberties that politicians wrongfully use various technologies for. At other times it’s merely for the love of money. Greed is a powerful motivator. Perhaps that’s what is pushing local governments to tap into the wild world of space in helping snatch the very numbers and letters off of your license plates.
