We’ve seen it a couple times before — the BlackBerry 9800/Slider. It certainly looks neat. I’d definitely pick one up even if it were exactly like these leaked images. So why rehash…?
This time the 9800 is strutting it’s stuff on camera with an extra goodie on board — OS 6.0. The aforementioned OS on the 9800 doesn’t look any different than it has so far on other leaked pics/devices. One thing that is currently being speculated is if the 9800 even has a touchscreen at all due to numerous UI differences uncovered by BBLeaks (though not apparent in the photo above). I surely hope that rumor turns out to be false as a slider-only BlackBerry while still cool, looses a great deal of appeal to me if it goes back in time.
For several years now, a touchscreen + qwerty BlackBerry has been rumored. Could the 9800 be that BlackBerry or is it too entry level? The more we learn about the 9800 (such as the sub standard 320 x 480 resolution display) the less I’m interested. What do you guys (and gals) think?
