The feat was accomplished at a test track in Shimotsuma, Japan and took a full 27.5 hours to complete with an average speed of only 40kmh. Talk about determination. 40km/h isn’t fast at all. Add in the fact that you’re sitting there crawling along at 40km/h can only mean one very, very long day for the drivers.
Powering this record beater is a Sanyo lithium-ion battery that is roughly equal to 8,320 cylindrical batteries found in your typical hybrid/electronic.
