7,000-photo long stop-motion video highlights the golden years of NES..

Stop motion video is one of those things that if done correctly, can be rather impressive. With HD, 3D, and all kinds of other new age technology, sometimes a jerky, rudimentary video is what we need.

YouTube member, bornforthis43 (AKA steelersmaniac36), burned through 120+ hours of his life piecing together over 7,000 still images and creating one of the coolest stop-motion videos I’ve seen yet. To set the mood — it relives all of the NES’s best games from yesteryear.

A few weeks back, the Google Chrome team released a video showing how fast the new release of Chrome was. It was pretty clever actually, featuring speed tests using lightning, sound, and even potatoes. In the spirit of competition, Opera would like you to know that they too have a speedy browser. Except their video is a bit more of a parody than a quote on quote, “real” speed test. But it’s freakin’ hilarious.

UK readers looking towards a Nokia N8 release date can finally be at peace. Pocket-Linet has scored some official confirmation from Nokia Mobile with the good news — August 25th.

While it’s a bit further into the future than Germany’s August 24th release date, I’m sure one more day isn’t going to kill you.

Now all that’s left to see is how well Symbian s^3 really is since the hardware side of things looks like it’s covered. Stay tuned…
