Critics often harp on Android for it’s OS fragmentation. Their points are generally valid though. There’s no reason to continually release new hardware with software that’s 2-4 generations removed. Moving on, Samsung appears to be learning from their T-Mo Behold II folly and has made it public via Twitter that all of the new upcoming Galaxy S variants will come with Android 2.1 and receive Android 2.2 updates in the near future. Mind you, T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, and U.S. Cellular are all slated for Galaxy S variants, meaning plenty of happy campers regardless of carrier choice.
