If you took Super Mario and Twitter, threw them together in a room, in to which they conceived a child, Super Twario would be it. It’s a “social game” of sorts — your tweets are turned into platforms for your character (a rabbit) to jump on. But it gets more involved. When you jump on/hit the platforms, you have the option of reading and replying to tweets. Bolstering your score comes by way of other, Twitter-esque events: tweets, gaining new followers, Follow Friday mentions, as well as being ReTweeted. Rounding out the uber social status of this game is the fact that it is Game Center compatible. So yes, all of your friends (and strangers) are included in the fun.
The concept is definitely unique. It’s cool to see a game built around a living, breathing social stream. Of course, you won’t really ever know how it works if you don’t try it out. Fire up the App Store on your iPhone and set down your $2 to get started. Hop inside to check out a video showing it in action…
In a rare occurance, it appears Apple’s own support forums have leaked/acknowledged a couple of new products that are set to be unveiled today — a new Macbook Air and iLife ’11. Nothing surprising or unexpected, though still nice to see. The event goes down at 1pm (EST) today, so be sure to check back. We’ll have a big recap of everything Apple announces.
If you’re one of the many folks holding out for a Lenovo-made Android tablet, your wait just got quite a bit longer. The Lenovo CEO Rory Read, came out today and stated that they have ceased development on any type of Android 2.2 (Froyo) tablet, and are instead waiting for Honeycomb.
The move shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise seeing as how Google themselves has repeatedly encouraged hardware manufacturers to not put Froyo on tablets. With the delay, eager end users such as you and I will be waiting until at least mid-2011 before we see any Lenovo/Android action.
Of course, Lenovo’s US-based interests aren’t even in full swing, with Read also stating that over the next two years, the copmany is going to hone in their focus and resources on the Chinese market. Fair enough. Anyone bummed?
At one point and time, we believed it to be damn near impossible to crack the Droid X. Motorola’s hardware nanny’s were designed to ruin all of our hacking fun. But the talented bunch of Android hackers and developers set out on liberating the platform. And now, several months later, after gaining root access and custom ROMs, the DX can add another notch to the belt — overclocking.
Overclocking turned the 1st gen Droid from merely snappy to flying. Things on the DX are a slightly different affair. That is, don’t expect any crazy 2x-3x overclocks. For now, all you’re going to be able to muster is 1.1GHz. Yup — a paltry 100MHz. Will you notice it? Outside of benchmarks probably not. But, it’s a step in the right direction. A small step is still a step towards success.
If you’re feeling the need to get down and dirty with DX overclocking from the onset, point your browser right over here. Just remember, warranties go buh-bye when doing such things. Happy OC’ing

Redemption: Droid X hits 2.0GHz!
Looks like the rumored axing of the BlackBerry Storm 3 was off. Above you you’ll notice a very clear, “Storm 3″ listed in Verizon’s in-store system. Excitement is wanning however, with specs that were old news last month.
Still, something is better than nothing, right? Though with all the talent cropping up, is the Storm 3 even that relevant anymore?

And just like that, webOS and the Palm Pre 2 are official. Palm has finally broken the silence and released a device for the first time in many, many months. Speaking of the new device, the Palm Pre 2 is still shrouded in a veil of secrecy concerning actual hardware components save for the 5-megapixel camera and 1GHz processor. Unfortunately, the screen appears to be the same size/resolution and the case is a carbon copy of the now 2-year old style. Not exactly a winner in 2010 I’d say. But hey, it’s good to see Palm doing something.
The real interesting part is whether or not Palm has spit polished the hell out of webOS 2.0. Reports have Verizon as the first US-based carrier with a UMTS (GSM) variant to follow. France is the lucky dog of the group — they get the Palm Pre 2 this coming Monday Friday.
Are you wooed? Press release inside.
Those of you wanting to jailbreak your iPhone 4 on the latest iOS 4.1 and preserve your unlock/baseband have but a few more days left of waiting. The Dev-Team has released the image above, teasing us with the impending release.
The Limera1n-powered exploit is currently Mac Windows only. So Mac users are surely chomping at the bit for some jailbreak action. Meanwhile, hacker iH8sn0w has already confirmed that Sn0wbreeze is close to completion meaning unlocks will once again be possible on the latest firmware.
For now, sit back and keep waiting. PwnageTool is close, with Sn0wbreeze not too far behind. Baseband-safe upgrading is almost here.
