The back-and-forth volleying of allegations and lawsuits between Apple and Samsung took a new spin today. Rather unsurprisingly, a new FTC filing by Samsung asks the courts to ban the import of any and all iPhones, iPods and iPads into the United States.
“Mobile Electronic Devices, Including Wireless Communication Devices, Portable Music and Data Processing Devices, and Tablet Computer.”
Given the whole Samsung/Apple spot so far, it’s highly likely that the FTC will investigate Samsung’s claims, though a final judgement (to ban or not to ban) could take up to 18 months.
After all is said and done we’re pretty sure neither party will invite the other to company cookouts anytime soon. Just sayin’…
