Some quick tidbits:
Yup, you heard it hear first folks, Radio Shack is still around. And not only are they still around, they might be slashing (read: used cars) prices of their current iPhone 4 and 3GS prices by $30 later today — July 31st.
We aren’t sure if this is just in preparation to clear some stock for the upcoming iPhone update, or if it is just to boost sales at this surprisingly – still in business – retail outlet. For those looking to get in on the iPhone craze but don’t have a lot of money to spend, the 3GS sitting at $19.99 is an outstanding buy! Even the iPhone 4 16GB at $169.99 or the 32GB finishing out the iSale at $269.99 aren’t too shabby. If you have a Radio Shack in the general vicinity of your living shack, we suggest strolling past the Sprint display and picking up a brand new iPhone!

That super cool slide-out QWERTY keyboard packing’ Galaxy S II supposedly heading to AT&T was…in fact not a Galaxy S II. BGR has published an update claiming the leaked device while note a Galaxy S II family member could very well still be a real device coming to market soon. On the flip side, the reason the phone was mislabeled in the first place was because of the same model number of the Galaxy S II line (SGH-i927). To that end, the re-use of internal model numbers could signal the leaked device was nothing but a prototype.

One of Android’s continuing weak points since version 1.0 is the abysmal music player. There are many different local and cloud-based alternate apps and services, but it is UberMusic that has our eye. With that said, we’ve been following UberMusic throughout its beta and must say, it is hands down the best looking music app for Android. The real bonus, however, is that UberMusic is fully customizable via skins. One other notable feature comes by way of automatically downloaded artist info and album art with each song.
The only thing that we can see that would immediately make UberMusic better is native Google Music integration. But considering the massive strides the developer made in the UI and overall functionality alone, we’re more than willing to wait. Oh, and Google has to release an API for developers to use first.
Give UberMusic a shot — and why not try out the developer’s other shining achievement, LaunchPro — and let us know what you think. Available now in the Android Market for $3.49.

Back in December 2010 Apple unveiled new, longer 90-second song previews for iTunes music. The move was highly welcome especially for longer songs where a 30-second preview may not catch the entire dynamic of the song. The only problem then was that various licensing deals across borders prevented Apple from rolling out the longer previews globally.
The U.S.-only status is now gone as Apple has officially enabled 90-second song previews to the residents of:
The iTunes juggernaut continues…

After Wednesday’s leak showing what industry sources claimed to be next-gen iPhone 5 cases come new images and claims. This time it is again 9to5Mac with the goods more alleged iPhone 5 cases. Like the ones before them, these cases feature rounded edges and dimensions that are slightly taller and wider than the iPhone 4 which match up perfectly with numerous rumors pegging the iPhone 5 as featuring a larger 3.7″-4″ display. Also worth noting is that the cases feature a design that starts thicker at the top and gently tapers towards a thinner point at the bottom.
While we’re still hearing some rumors saying the overall physical design of the iPhone 5 won’t vary from the iPhone 5, the mounting evidence is suggesting otherwise.
And to be sure we cover every angle, we’ll mention these could very well be iPod Touch cases. Though it goes without saying we’re putting our eggs in the iPhone 5 basket. You?
