Newly Revealed iOS PDF Exploit To Be Patched In Forthcoming Update.

The recently released JailbreakMe 3.0 web-based jailbreak that makes use of a PDF exploit within iOS will soon be patched according to Apple spokesperson Bethan Lloyd.

In similar news: Germany’s IT security agency has encouraged employees with iOS devices to avoid clicking on any hokey-looking links and/or PDFs as hackers could potentially glean a mountain of information due to iOS’ vast spread and ease of the hack.

Apple isn’t typically the fastest at releasing critical security updates or alerting the public to such things. With that said, Apple’s spokesperson failed to divulge any information as to what the update will be (iOS 4.3.3, 4.4) or when we could see it. Though if past security exploits are any indication, expect a fix within the next 2-3 weeks.
