Cue up the salt shakers, it’s rumor time! According to Japanese Apple site, Kodawarisan, Apple will reveal the new iPhone 5 and iPod Touches on September 7th. The date (and month) generally hosts the company’s music/iPod announcements but after nothing new on the iPhone front earlier this summer, it’s all hands on deck.
While Apple could very well announce the new iPhone in just a few short weeks, many in the industry believe the actual public launch of the iPhone 5 won’t come until later in September or possibly even early October.
As for the source of the rumor, Kodawarisan has been in the business since all the way back in 2002. With that said, they did correctly estimate the 2009 Mac Mini’s release date. Is this their follow up success? We certainly hope so.
