Rumor: iPhone 5 Pre-Orders To Begin Week Of Sept. 19th Or 26th.

We still don’t have any confirmed pre-order/release date for the iPhone 5. Hell, we don’t even have confirmation it exists! But let’s not kid ourselves. Apple is this close to releasing their next gen iPhone. A mountain of evidence suggests so. All that’s left is finding out exactly when.

Current rumors peg early October as the official go live date. However, pre-orders generally start several weeks to a month before the official launch. With that said, Fast Company is reporting “an inside source” — tread carefully… — has tipped them off to a potential pre-order period starting either the week of September 19th or September 26th. A date falling within said range would put a public release in line with the aforementioned rumors claiming an early October launch. Add to that various case leaks, many “inside source” claims, and even Deutsche Telekom opening up pre-orders for a technically non-existant device and it all sounds pretty legit.

Nonetheless, it’s all heresy and speculation until Apple makes everything official. It goes without saying things could change very quickly. Stay tuned…
