Apotheker Lives To Cut Another Day: Evening Board Meaning Fails To Reach Decision On Successor.

Now infamous CEO (and not for a good reason) Leo Apotheker appears to have lady luck on his side. Earlier today a rumor began circulating claiming the HP board was looking at giving him the axe. But that axe won’t be coming down on Apotheker just yet.

The WSJ is reporting a board meaning that took place just a few short hours ago failed to come to a conclusion on any possible Apotheker successors. On the same note, another HP-related rumor floating around suggested former eBay CEO Meg Whitma could up for consideration for the CEO title. From what we’ve seen and heard, however, Whitma isn’t all that popular either.

Considering former HP CEO Mark Hurd spent several years gleaning a rather impressive consumer PC company it’s pretty said to see the now current captain of the ship all but gutting Hurd’s vision to an uninspiring shell. Nonetheless we just hope that either (1) Apotheker gets out of this enterprise minset or (2) is replaced. As it stands now, the latter is looking better by the day.
