After numerous rumors saying HTC’s Beats Audio unit had purchased streaming service MOG, comes a new upbeat story for the streaming underdog — they have a new iPad app!

Joining the ranks of Rdio (as far as major streaming services are concerned), MOG’s new iPad app brings support for Apple’s (very) popular tablet, allowing iPad users to continue enjoying MOG’s high quality, full 320 Kbps library in complete Retina glory. As far as design goes, the app is on the dark side of things. But to us, the dark background helps the album art pop. On top of that navigation is simple and straight forward — staples of a good iOS app.

If you consider Spotify, Rdio and MOG as the “big 3″ streaming services, Spotify is now the only one of the three to not offer an iPad app. With as popular as Spotify is getting, we would have to assume they have something in the works.

The MOG iPad app is a free download in the App Store, though a $10/month subscription is required to make use of it. Let us know what you think.
