Flagship HTC Device To Hit Verizon This Fall With 5″ 1080p Display, Quad-Core Krait Processor.

BGR posted an article earlier telling of Verizon’s upcoming summer/fall 2012 roadmap. And while there are a number of note worthy phones including nods to a Galaxy S III variant and numerous Motorola RAZR models, it is the rumored flagship HTC device that has our attention piqued the most.
Specs are understandably slim, but the small bit we’re teased with is tantalizing — 5″ 1080p (non-PenTile!) display with power coming from a quad-core Krait CPU and Adreno 320 GPU as well as Sense UI 5.0 and Scribe pen. In short, it looks like HTC is going to challenge Samsung’s wildly successful 5.3″ Galaxy Note “Phablet”. In regards to Sense 5.0, we don’t see anything too terribly breathtaking happening with this release. Sense 4.0 was a dramatic re-design, so expect 5.0 to more evolutionary than anything. Now, toss in an awesome design that pulls from the gorgeous One X/S phones and we think HTC has a big winner on their hands.
All that said, if we had to pain a picture of the fall VZW Android scene, we see Samsung and HTC being back on top while Motorola screws around with releasing a new phone every other week.
We for one hope the above rumor turns out. Thoughts?
